Matt Adams, the lead singer of the rock band Cavernous Cadavours, was found dead today, in his apartment in Seattle due to a suspected drug overdose. Matt, known to fans as 'The Pope' and his band are famous for their large riffs and stoner rock tendencies which propelled them to the forefront of the stoner rock scene ahead of such luminaries as Kyuss and Masters of Reality. Although their own original work is highly regarded in the music industry, it was their cover of Kylie Minogues 'Locomotion' in 2003 that gave them their only mainstream success. This enraged long time fans who staged burnings of the Cadavours albums and merchandise. This affected Matt seriously and is believed to have been the primary cause of his decent into depression and amplified drug abuse. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
